Besides having a beautiful grousey mottled pattern, the nicest thing about tying with these feathers is that the feather stem is long, giving you 3 to 4 wraps.

The main complaint I hear about partridge feathers is that the stem is so short on the smaller sizes that it is almost impossible to use them.
