All Montana Trips

Cancelations received 90 days prior to original trip date can have payments credited to any future trip within one year of the original trip date. This trip must be conducted within one year of original scheduled trip. We do not cancel a guided fishing trip due to weather.  We fish rain or shine! Cancelations on our end would be due to unsafe conditions. In this unlikely situation, we offer a full refund.

We strongly recommend you to purchase trip insurance.  We partner with Global Rescue to offer this.  Global Rescue’s Signature Travel and Signature Plus (Cancel for any Reason) Insurance allows you insure all of your expenses and covers all activities.  While a Signature Travel Insurance policy can be purchased at any time, purchasing a policy within 20 days of making your initial trips deposit gives you the widest range of policy options specifically to cancel for any reason.

Hosted Trips Cancellation Policy

Payment and Cancellation Policy for B.R.O. Travel Hosted Trips and Smith River:

A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation within 7 days of booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the trip. The final payment for your trip is due October 15th, 2024 for all hosted trips in 2025. Deposits and final payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Blackfoot River Outfitters is solely a booking agent for destination trips and does not operate the lodging or guide services. Requests to move a scheduled trip date are the same as cancelling and re-booking. Blackfoot River Outfitters is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising while traveling, fishing or practicing any other activity. Because of our reliance on advanced bookings, we must make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. Adverse weather conditions are possible on any trip and in some situations can negatively affect fishing conditions or loss of fishing days. Refunds are not made if fishing days are lost due to adverse weather-related conditions. If unexpected events such as global pandemics, wars, travel restrictions, etc. prevent the trip from occurring, Blackfoot River Outfitters will work directly with our destination partner to assist in exploring any deviation from the standard policy, but guests should understand that trip funds are forwarded to the lodge in advance of travel and any deviation from the standard policy is at the sole discretion of the destination partner. If you are at all concerned with a cancellation possibility, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance.
